Free movement of workers
The free movement of workers is a basic right in the EU
The European Union's four fundamental freedoms are the following:
- free movement of workers
- free movement of capital
- free movement of goods
- free movement of services
The one of the four freedoms of EU citizens is the free movement of workers, which covers the following areas:
- the free movement and residence of workers
- the right of family members to entry and reside in any EU country
- right of EU-citizens to work in any Member States of the EU
- right of equal treatment in comparison to nationals of the Member State.
